Recess!

I had my class this weekend (classroom management.) It is a good arrangement; I go three weekends (fri night and sat all day) and then the class is done! The more I attend and learn how schools work, the more I am thinking that I may become a principal or superintendent some day....yay for lifelong schooling!

Saturday, Josh watched Mac. They went to Gona and Baca's and finished the kitchen demo by tearing out the ceiling. Then he started feeling sick by the end of the day, and was sick the rest of the weekend. Sunday, Emmi called in the morning and asked if we wanted to go to Recess with her, Kade, and Kade's friends Sam and Taylor. Recess is a huge building in Ankeny full of fun blow up slides, playground equipment, video games, rides, disco rooms, bumper cars, face painting, birthday party rooms, and even a little "zoo." It is only $6 for two hours for kids 4 and under, so I thought it was a great way to spend the afternoon! Mac is quite the daredevil, and ran right up to the biggest slide. She went down a few times before bonking her head and giving up on that!

After the slide, we were probably too ambitious. She wanted to try the helicopters. After two spins around they were too scary and we got off.

We ran into her friend Sam, who came with his grandma. Sam's mom Paula has been on bedrest for months now, and I am sure she cannot wait until she has the baby. His grandma comes down on weekends to help. They must have gone on the train ride at least three times. She loved saying "choo choo" and "woo woo!"

We stopped for little while to have lunch. Luckily aunti em brought grapes! Not sure if she meant for Mac to eat them all....but she made short work of them.
