On Saturday we braved a wedding with two kids. It was in Ankeny, and the bride is a friend of mine from work. She used to work under me in Ames, and has since transferred to two other stores. The wedding was beautiful and I got to see a lot of friends from work. McKenna did great during the hour long ceremony. Zachary did pretty well too. We sat in the back so I could sneak out a couple times to calm him down. McKenna thought that the bride and bridesmaids were princesses and that they were there to get married and live happily ever after. She kept saying "I see the white princess!" After the wedding we went to the reception. It seemed that we had to wait forever for dinner. After it was all said and done they were cutting the cake 4 hours later and we decided that it was time to go. She was okay missing cake, as long as she got a home made cookie that grandma rue sent her when she got home.
