Quite Belated Disney Post - Part #1

Well, a few months late - but finally updating the blog from our Disney trip in September :) Josh and I planned this months in advance, but didn't tell the kids. We literally woke them up that morning and said - hey, you want to go to Disneyworld today? It was hard explaining why we were taking Lanie to a boarder, and why all their laundry was in our room, not put away. But we pulled it off!

McKenna's reaction was like "whatever mom, I have school today." Once she realized we weren't kidding and that she really was going she got dressed in about two minutes. Zachey is a little harder to wake up. He just kept saying, "What? Really?" Then at one point rolled over and closed his eyes and mumbled "Thank you." So funny!

This year was fun because Chelsey and Spencer got to come with, as well as Gramma Rue and we all left from the same airport! We met Brandon there so the whole family got to enjoy it :)

The travel day we just took it easy. We had to find things to do as our check in time to our rental was 4pm. So we went to the store, found cheesy souvenir places, chased lizards in a park and tried not to melt in the heat!

Day 2 we had to hit the magic kingdom. Zachey wasn't quite as in awe as kenna was the year we took her, but there were lots of smiles! We had to really manage the two of them having conflicting interests. Kenna thought the "baby rides" were lame, and Zachey thought some of the bigger rides were "scary." We did our best, but there were some moments of scream factor for sure!

Chelsey and Spencer had on anniversary pins, so the characters had fun with them. Goofy made them form a heart, too funny!

My mom's fav, donald!

After a long day at disney, we continued to Epcot. Thought we could hit some of the rides that were usually really busy because it was raining like crazy! The kids really loved Epcot, it was Zachey's favorite next to the haunted mansion. Also the giant aquarium near the nemo exhibit was very impressive. The kids liked looking at the sharks. Below you will see that his first day at Disney was definitely a success....completely warn out!
